Losing a pet friend and companion can be heartbreaking. Whether it is a sudden or planned goodbye, it is an emotional time. We understand the strength and specialness of the animal-human bond. On the first Tuesday of each month, Four Seasons Compassion for Life will be hosting a Pet Loss Grief Support Group from 5:30-6:30 pm. The monthly meeting will be held at a new location: 373 Biltmore Ave, near Mission Hospital. This group is for anyone who is grieving the loss of an animal companion and needs further support. This is a free monthly meeting. Everyone welcome but out of respect to other participants, please leave pets at home.

Full Moon Farm is an organization dedicated to the well being of the wolfdog (wolf 
hybrid). Situated on 17 beautiful mountain acres in Black Mountain, NC, we operate as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization for abused and refused wolfdogs who find themselves in need of love, shelter, and care through no fault of their own.
Full Moon Farm provides a safe haven for animals that cannot be placed into homes for the rest of their lives. Our rescued wolfdogs come from animal control agencies, closed breeding situations and occasionally, an owner in crisis. We evaluate each animal upon intake and work with them at their level of comfort.
Some animals are “hands off” and we respect their choice, as well as that of the animals that crave human interaction. Our goal is to enrich the lives of the residents, allowing them to reach their highest potential. Your support by donation or sponsorship makes our task possible.
Though they may be abused or neglected, homeless because of death or divorce, they are all God’s Creatures and worthy of a lifetime of respect. We are here to serve them.
Full Moon Farm helps wolfdogs in three ways:
Rescue – This involves evaluating wolfdogs and transporting them here or to other sanctuaries or shelters, as well as networking with other wolfdog rescue organizations to help with adoptions.
Education – Full Moon Farm does many educational outreaches, both formal (such as scheduled visits to schools and businesses, booths at festivals) and informal (such as being able to educate workers while at a shelter evaluating a wolfdog). Even walking our dogs in the local Christmas Parade is educational, as it shows people that these animals are not the monsters of myth and fable. Also, wolfdogs are not hybrids, nor are they half wolf, half dog!
Sanctuary – Giving “refused and abused” wolfdogs a safe, healthy and loving environment in which to live out their lives takes most of our resources.

She has been communicating with animals since she was a child and has worked professionally with animals since 1985: in veterinary practices, as manager of pet supply stores, as an animal control officer, and as an assistant manager of a humane society until 1995 when she began offering her skills as an animal communicator to others as a profession.
Patty has received training in the Tellington T-Touch method, is a Reiki Master, and has studied several other healing and behavioral modification techniques which she finds helpful in her quest to promote harmony between humans and their animals family.
