Domesticated 0924This pioneering, unique, and much needed, conference covers many topics on Senior pet needs, End-of-life care, caregiver support topics and grief healing.

The goal is to help us become more knowledgeable and comfortable in caring for our pets (and ourselves) during this difficult, but inevitable time in our pets’ lives. We all want to lovingly care for our pets during their senior years and end-of-life transition, but we don’t always know how.

The conference highlights important medical topics of senior animal needs and resources, assessing animal quality of life, explaining hospice and palliative care, covering the medical, practical, emotional considerations for pets at the end of life transition. Special focus will also be on grief healing from pet loss for ourselves and family, which is often complex and under-addressed in our society.

Understanding more about these areas will help us become better equipped to handle this critical time. Being aware of the resources available can be tremendously helpful and healing. Tribute video will be played at end for attendees’ pets. This is a seated, educational, ticketed event. Some presentations offer professional CE credits.

The goal of this conference is to allow individuals to come away feeling comforted by the knowledge of what to expect and equipped with the resources to help navigate during this challenging and honorable senior years and last phase of our companion animals lives. In addition, topics to understanding and healing from pet loss will be included.
